Andyo Cards |
Andyo is a trading card game that was first introduced in 2003. AJMM Inc. made many cards in the series. How it got its name was by Andy, the leader of AJMM Inc. In counting, there is over 300 cards in the series! AJMM Inc. was hard at work while printing them. Players must overcome their opponent by beating them in the game, which we'll explain just in a minute how to play. You'll also read lots about the game in many different ways, so enjoy reading! This section will pretty much cover every aspect of the Andyo trading card game. Card types: Before we get to teaching you how to play the card game, you need to know the basics of how each and every card type works. There are 5 card types. ---Card type 1: Attackers Attacker cards are used to attack your opponent's side of the field and depending on what Power card you use on the Attacker, your opponent will lose more cards from the top of his deck, allowing you one step closer to winning. To put Attacker cards on the field, though, you need to sacrifice the same number of your Stacker cards saved up (more on Stackers below) to the number on the top right of the card. ---Card type 2: Powers Power cards are used for Attacker cards. If you have an Attacker card out on your side of the field, you can use a Power card on it. Power cards have different effects on the game. They can make your opponent lose 1-3 cards from the top of their deck or make you sacrifice cards form your deck to make your opponent lose cards. ---Card type 3: Fortunes Fortune cards make things happen in the game differently than most cards. If you use one, you either choose to make the effect happen now for a price of 4 cards off the top of your deck or later for free. If you choose later, the effect of the Fortune card will activate in 5 turns. It's kind of a gamble, because some Fortune cards have effects saying things such as destroy a Power card when it activates. In 5 turnes there may not be any Power cards activating, and you'll have to wait longer. These cards are set in a special area on the playing field so you don't forget about them. ---Card type 4: Stackers Stacker cards are used to be able to put down Attacker cards on the field, as read above. You put Stackers on a special place on the playing field and save them up for Attackers. You can have up to 5 Stackers because that's the maximum you'll have to sacrifice to put down an Attacker card. Stackers just have the word "Stacker" on it. ---Card Type 5: Lucky Lucky cards are special - you can only have one in your deck and if you draw it on your turn, you get to remove up to 10 cards from your opponent's deck, destroy one Attacker, and draw another card. These could be considered the best card in the game, and each player has at least one in their deck. Most Lucky cards should be near the bottom of the deck. That was all there is to know about each type of card in the game and how to use them. Now on to how to play the game! How to play the Andyo trading card game: This game isn't that complex to learn about and simple to many who play it. The object of the game is to deplete your opponent's number of cards in their deck to zero. Each player starts with 40 cards in their deck, no number higher or lower. Then they draw 5 cards at the beginning and draw one card at the beginning of each of their turns in the game, or sometimes more if an effect of a card tells them to. To put down Attackers, you must put down Stackers first and save up to put down a really powerful Attacker. If Attacker cards have a zero in the upper right hand corner, then you can just put it down and attack. Power cards are used on Attackers, and depending on what the Power says your opponent can lose up to 1-3 cards from their deck, as said above. Fortune cards can do something on your turn or in turns to come, but you can read all about cards and what they do in the previous section. Keep playing with the cards until someone's deck reaches zero cards. Have fun! The Game Mat: The field presents the game in an orderly fashion. There's a place to put your deck, a place where unused or already used cards go, a place to keep your Fortune cards in to remember them (if you choose to activate them later) a place to put an Attacker, a place to put your Stackers, and a place to put your Powers and Luckies. There's a place for every card type in the game, but Lucky cards are rare so they just share card spaces with Power cards. You can play without a Game Mat if you know where to put the cards. I hope you liked this section of Andyo cards and have fun playing! |
